In 2008 I decided I was going to get myself a scooter and drive, roughly, 40,000 miles around London in order to complete The Knowledge.
There were many reasons why I decided to take on this mammoth task. The main reason being I was growing tiresome of 9-5, sat behind a desk, staring into a monitor. I had to make a change, so I did… I decided I was going to try and memorise London, including the locations of streets, squares, clubs, hospitals, hotels, theatres, government and public buildings, railway stations, police stations, courts, diplomatic buildings, important places of worship, cemeteries, parks and open spaces, sports and leisure centres, places of learning, restaurants and historic buildings; in fact everything to be able to take passengers to their destinations by the most direct routes.
This blog is an account of my journey through London.
